VCU Pipeline programs
The VCU Health Sciences Pipeline features programs and initiatives to support you in your journey toward a health care career. No matter where you are in your academic career, there are Pipeline programs from middle school through the post-baccalaureate level to help you.
While each program has its own distinct goals and benefits, all Pipeline programs aim to:
- Educate and excite students about health care careers
- Provide resources to strengthen students skills
- Ensure students make informed decisions about pursuing health care careers

Middle school students are exposed to the diversity of health care careers, and variety of programs offered at VCU. Middle school programs include fieldtrips, Pipeline events and summer programs. Explore middle school programs today!
High school students are offered a variety of college preparation, health career exposure and exploration programs. High school programs range from public-school academic year partnerships to afterschool and summer programs, including a pre-matriculation summer session for incoming VCU freshman.
College students are provided strategic programs supporting first-year math and science courses, exposure to a variety of health professional degrees including undergrate programs and pre-professional preparation. College programs include a freshman year living-learning community, VCU events and summer programs.
