Physical Therapy Career Exploration (PTCE)
Greater Richmond area students in grades 10, 11 and 12 who are interested in exploring a career in physical therapy.
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.75, and have U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
PTCE is a rigorous two-week summer program where participants explore physical therapy as a health career. Participants learn about different specialties and aspects of physical therapy through study skills activities, reading discussions, research, hands-on workshops and public speaking exercises. PTCE participants receive preparatory information for successful admission to the physical therapy program at VCU.
Participants are required to provide their own transportation and parking during the program. Lunch and any resource materials required to participate in the program will be provided. Commitment to full attendance is required to participate.
