Open to ninth-, 10th-, 11th- and 12th-grade students interested in dentistry. VCU Dental Scholars is an academic year program where participants receive lectures, visit the Dent-Sim lab, create impressions, carve a wax tooth and more. Open to high school and college students who are interested in pharmacy. VCU Pharmacy Preview Day is a one-day event that takes place twice a year; once in the fall and once in the spring. Participants interested in pharmacy receive a tour, application information and hands-on skill demonstrations. |

Dental Careers Exploration Program (DCE) Open to ninth-, 10th-, 11th- and 12th-grade students interested in careers in dentistry. DCE is a five-day summer program that provides information about the educational requirements and job duties of each dental professional (dental hygienist, general dentist, and dental specialists) - Lab activities - tooth carving, dental impressions, suturing, digital dentistry, and MORE! Open to ninth-, 10th-, 11th- and 12th-grade students interested in pharmacy. Pharmacy Summer Scholars is a five-day program that provides participants with hands-on activities, interactions with health professionals and tour. Project Academic, Career, and Educational experiences (ACEe) Open to 10th, 11th- and 12th-grade students interested in medicine. Project ACEe is an academic year program that exposes participants medicine as a health career through workshops and mentoring opportunities. Compromiso, Valores, Servicio (CVS) Open to Spanish-speaking students 18 years and older who are interested in working in health care. Participants will attend weekly sessions in the spring semester to learn medical Spanish and interact with Pharm.D. students and faculty during mentorship opportunities and professionalism sessions. In the late spring and summer, participants will join the medical interpreter for clinical pharmacy shadowing opportunities. Allied Health Career Exploration (AHCE) Open to 12th-grade students, college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors interested in diverse health careers. AHCE is a two-week summer program where students explore patient counseling, clinical laboratory sciences, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nurse anesthesia, rehabilitation counseling, radiation sciences, health administration and gerontology.
